About

About James

When not at the race track, James is a hard-working A-Level student studying Maths, Physics and Business. He also plays hockey at both club and national level. Family and friends are a key value, and will always be supporting him trackside. At just 17, James aims to develop his racing skills as far as possible, including training to be a stunt driver and instructor with DRIVETAC, with the end goal being a professional driver.

Junior Racing

James’ motorsport journey started slightly different to most. Instead of karting, he began racing cars in 2014, at age 9, on Oval circuits, in a Junior Nascar, winning consecutive championships.

In 2019, he made the step into Junior Saloons driving a Saxo VTR, and then Fiesta Juniors. James found early success, winning several rounds, and also came runner up and rookie champion in 2021 in the Junior Fiesta Championship.

2022 Season

At 16 years old, James made the leap from junior categories, to competing against the adults in the 2022 GT Cup, driving a GT4 Porsche Cayman with co-driver Sam Maher-Loughnan. He rose to the challenge, and even after missing some testing because of his GCSE’s, James and Sam brought home the 2022 Group GTH Championship.
